Video Production Bobby Rush Concert

Video Creation:
The film footage created with the Canon Vixia HG20 camera and Adobe design software. Bobby Rush Concert day four of the event sunlight was bright and clear for video. However because the concert was at night video was not as clear no stage lighting was present.

1. The Disaster Footage Reality

  • Original Clip Problems:

    • 3.2 hours of handheld footage with:

      • 47% overexposed highlights (concert lights)

      • 62dB background noise (crowd chatter)

      • 238% digital zoom artifacts

    • No B-roll, no slate, no clean audio

2. Adobe Premiere Pro Triage
Editor’s Salvage Process:

  • Applied Warp Stabilizer on 89 clips (15% crop, 80% smoothness)

  • Created fake multicam by duplicating timeline and applying different crops

  • Used Auto Color as base, then manual adjustments:

    • Crushed blacks (-20) to hide noise

    • +200% vibrance to compensate for flat profile

3. Audio From Hell to Broadcast
Adobe Audition CC Chains:

  1. Noise Reduction (20dB reduction, 50% retain)

  2. Parametric EQ cuts:

    • -8dB at 250Hz (mud)

    • +6dB at 3kHz (vocals)
